What we call love
December 13, 1933

"What we call" love "is a combination of greed and hatred, or desire more and being afraid to lose. Therefore, what we call "Love" must be called IGNORANCE.
Real love must be infinitely beyond our common understanding, something extraordinary, a total forgetfulness of self, loss of individuality in unity, the absorption of the whole personality.
So it seems that love is really just the opposite of itself.
When we understand these terms so we understand the teachings of Christ, no longer be used parables. Love, for one thing, the service seems to be united with wisdom.
What we call love is someone who gives us because it satisfies our desire to lust for more things, and hate is what we call someone who calls because it takes away our fear of losing.
When we realize that we have nothing on this earth that is not worth to lose but everything to gain, then we can not know the hatred and therefore the profound meaning of the word, we will be able to "love the our enemies. "
The real love of God or our fellow seems to be the desire to serve without compensation.
probably actually closer to the love that we know has always been for the unattainable, for the sunsets, starry nights, for music and the beauty of the mountains and moors. In the bottom of our hearts we know that our enemies are those who leave us, because by doing so they create a bond that are almost impossible to break and we thank them when they struggle to break free.
Any person that we can influence with our will, our control or power is a danger to our freedom. No matter whether our influence is due to power or love or fear or what they get from us. Our souls must thank all those who refuse to be our servants, since, they and we are being robbed of our individuality. "
